NextGen Pastor
Position Description
The Next Generation Pastor is responsible for providing leadership, vision, support, and direction for the preschool, elementary, and student ministries of Expectation Church. The Next Generation Pastor will have direct oversight of the elementary (eKids) ministry until a new hire can be made to fulfill that role.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Utilize and implement a regular playbook cadence for each Next Generation ministry that provides mission, values, vision, training, and strategy to volunteers, families, children, and students
- Provide oversight and direction for the preschool (eKids Jr.), elementary (eKids), and teen (eStudents) staff Directors to ensure the Next-Gen playbook is being utilized and implemented
- Provide training and development plans for the eKids Jr., eKids, and eStudents Directors
- Provide pastoral care and coaching for children and youth ministry staff and volunteers
- Evaluate, review, and implement policies and procedures, that ensure a safe and secure environment for children and students
- In collaboration with Next Generation staff, develop and implement a strategic plan to provide resources and opportunities for parents to disciple and lead their families
- Prepare and execute the check-in process for all ministry functions
- Responsible for planning budgets and tracking expenses against budget for the Next Generation Ministries
- Ensure eKids Jr, eKids, and eStudents ministry areas are organized and maintained.
Connections Assistant
Job Title: Connections Assistant
Status: Part-Time
Direct Supervisor: Care and Connection Pastor, Roy Dowdy
Overview: The Connections Assistant will provide support and leadership for the assimilation team through administration and organization ability. The Connections Assistant will be present for team meetings (time TBD). The Connections Assistant will be a key player and champion of the Welcome Home needs of the church.
This position requires no more than 24 hours a week with some flexibility for church events.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee the development and training of hospitality team members
- Oversee the inventory of the connection and hospitality supplies and resources
- Manage and enhance Sunday morning hospitality/connection teams
- Oversee or coordinate meals for Growth Track, Staff Team Development, Deacon’s Meetings and church wide events
- Assist the facilities team with giving tours of the building and answering facility request emails.
- Assist in memorial/funeral services and weddings as needed
Essential Requirements

- Has demonstrated regular church attendance, faithful volunteering, and consistent giving
- Must be able to stay organized and maintain administrative duties
- Must be able to collaborate and work with a team
- Can maintain composure during stressful situations
The ideal candidate:
- Has experience leading volunteers
- Has an aptitude for catering services
- Is flexible in a fast-paced environment
- Can communicate briefly but clearly
- Can use computers and technology
- Can manage their time wisely and effectively
- Has experience with Google Workspace
